Canadian Embassy in Cuba
As part of the Canadian Local Initiatives Fund (CLIF), the Canadian Embassy in Cuba awarded a grant of $35,000 to Soutien Direct International. This support made it possible, among other things, to purchase an electric vehicle equipped with a solar panel, thereby strengthening our ability to deliver humanitarian aid directly to vulnerable families in Havana.
The Society of Foreign Missions
The Society of Foreign Missions is supporting the work of Soutien Direct International with a contribution of $15,000. Of this amount, $10,000 is allocated to the distribution of food baskets, and $5,000 goes to the Cocina Esperanza project, a free meal delivery service that provides meals to vulnerable individuals who are unable to cook.
Terracam / Novaterr
Terracam / Novaterr is a major company based in Sainte-Julie, operating both in Quebec and internationally in the heavy-duty vehicle, parts, and remanufactured components sector. As the official supplier of solar-powered electric vehicles to Soutien Direct International, the company has also donated a second electric vehicle and a trailer, with a total value of $15,000, to strengthen our logistics capacity and distribution operations in Cuba.
Bahia Rooftop Restaurant - Havana
Bahia Rooftop Restaurant, located in Old Havana, is a key partner in the Cocina Esperanza (Kitchen of Hope) project. Its team provides its facilities, staff, and expertise to prepare hot meals and balanced menus for elderly people, those who are ill, or those living with a disability who are unable to cook. Only the costs directly related to food, meal preparation, and operations are covered by Soutien Direct International.
Katholikos
Katholikos has commissioned Soutien Direct International to coordinate and carry out the “Joy Without Borders” project on the ground in Cuba. This initiative brings together children from Quebec and Cuba through drawing, transforming their artwork into messages of solidarity printed on T-shirts that are given to children in Cuba.
