The Society of Foreign Missions is donating $15,000 to Soutien Direct International to support its humanitarian efforts in Cuba
Soutien Direct International is proud to announce a $15,000 contribution from the Société des Missions Étrangères du Québec to strengthen its humanitarian efforts on behalf of Cuban families.
This significant contribution will enable our team to provide direct food assistance to a greater number of families living in highly vulnerable situations. It also demonstrates the trust placed in our organization, our capacity to respond, and the tangible impact of our work on the ground.
Founded in Quebec in 1921, the Society of Foreign Missions is an international missionary organization that brings together priests and laypeople committed to serving communities around the world. In 2026, it will celebrate 105 years of missionary work and international solidarity.
An organization with a history of commitment spanning more than 100 years
Over the decades, its members and partners have supported numerous communities by promoting human dignity, justice, solidarity, and dialogue with local communities.
To this day, the Society of Foreign Missions continues its mission in several regions of the world and collaborates with other organizations to provide concrete responses to people’s needs. Its core values are solidarity, mutual trust, simplicity, and boldness. These values align directly with the principles that guide Soutien Direct International’s work in Cuba.
Trust That Turns Into Tangible Help
Thanks to this $15,000 contribution, Soutien Direct International will be able to continue and expand its work directly in the field. Our team will handle the preparation of aid, logistical coordination, the rigorous selection of beneficiaries, and the documentation of distributions.
This partnership brings together two organizations united by a common goal: to provide practical, compassionate, and organized assistance to the families who need it most.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Society of Foreign Missions for its trust and commitment to our mission to support Cuban families.
Together, we turn solidarity into action
